PLEASE NOTE,

OUR LEADERSHIP WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE MINISTER OF HEALTH AS WELL AS THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES (NICD) AND OTHER GLOBAL SOURCES IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE BEST SUITABLE OUTCOME TO PHYSICAL SERVE OUR CHURCH FAMILY.

IN THE MEANTIME, LET’S PRAY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY THIS VIRUS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY.

WE TRULY DESIRE TO PHYSICALLY GATHER FOR WORSHIP AS STATED IN HEBREWS 10:24-25, BUT IN ORDER TO HONOUR OUR AUTHORITIES (TIT 3:1; ROM. 13:1), AND CARE FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE AMONG US (JAM 1:27; 1 JN 3:17-18), AND TO LOVE OUR COMMUNITY AS PRACTICALLY AS POSSIBLE (PHIL 2:12-16; COL 4:2-6), WE BELIEVE THE BEST WAY FOR US AS A CHURCH FAMILY TO GLORIFY GOD, IS TO INDEFINITELY PAUSE ALL OUR SERVICES, AND TAKE OUR HOLIDAY BREAK FROM BIBLE STUDIES & PRAYER MEETING.

WE WILL ALSO HAVE A PRE-RECORDED SERMON READY UNDER THE RESOURCES TAB, WITH NOTES, SO THAT WE MAY HONOUR THE LORD AND FOLLOW THE PRINCIPLE OF THE SABBATH. WE ENCOURAGE YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES TO MAKE THE MOST OF THIS OPPORTUNITY AND TO LISTEN AND WORSHIP TOGETHER.

AS WE PLAN FOR FUTURE SERVICES & GATHERS, PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING SUGGESTIONS:

  • GREETING – DURING THIS TIME OF INCREASED SENSITIVITY, PLEASE AVOID HANDSHAKES AND PHYSICAL CONTACT. INSTEAD GREET EACH OTHER WITH A WARM SMILE, A WAVE, AND A FRIENDLY HELLO.

  • OFFERING – FOR THE SUNDAYS WHERE WE ARE NOT MEETING CORPORATELY, YOU MIGHT CONSIDER CHANGING FROM GIVING TO THE CHURCH THROUGH THE OFFERING BAGS TO AN ELECTRONIC FINANCIAL TRANSACTION (EFT). THIS WILL MINIMIZE PERSONAL HAND CONTACT AS THE VIRUS CAN REMAIN ON PHYSICAL SURFACES FOR SOME TIME.  OR, IF YOU ARE WELCOME TO CONTACT OUR TREASURER, THOMAS MATHEW, AND PROVIDE YOUR DESIGNATED GIVING IN AN ENVELOPE.

  • COMMUNION – WHEN WE RETURN TO OUR CORPORATE GATHERINGS (BASED ON THE GOVERNMENT MANDATES AND EXPERTS’ ADVICE ON SAFETY), ON COMMUNION SUNDAYS PLEASE TRY TO REDUCE THE POTENTIAL FOR SHARING CONTACT THROUGH HANDLING THE ELEMENTS.

LET US CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE SICK AND SUFFERING AS WELL AS FOR THE AUTHORITIES AND HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS TO BE WISE AND SKILLED IN HOW THEY CARE FOR THOSE IN NEED, AND MAY WE BE READY TO SHOW AND SHARE THE LOVE AND HOPE OF JESUS WITH EVERY OPPORTUNITY HE PROVIDES (1 TIM 2:1-6).

WE ARE COMMITTED TO LOVING AND SHEPHERDING OUR CHURCH FAMILY THROUGH THIS SEASON.  PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO LET US KNOW IF THERE ARE WAYS THAT WE CAN PRAY FOR AND CARE FOR YOU.  AS WE SEEK TO SHOW LOVE AND CARE FOR OUR NEIGHBOURS, PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATIONS FROM ALL THE MAJOR HEALTH AUTHORITIES:

  • CLEAN YOUR HANDS OFTEN – WASH WITH SOAP AND WATER FOR AT LEAST 20 SECONDS (IF SOAP & WATER ARE NOT READILY AVAILABLE) USE HAND SANITIZER WITH AT LEAST 60% ALCOHOL, AND AVOID TOUCHING YOUR EYES, NOSE, AND MOUTH

  • AVOID CLOSE CONTACT WITH THOSE THAT ARE SICK, SNEEZING, OR COUGHING.

  • MAINTAIN DISTANCE BETWEEN YOURSELF AND OTHERS.

  • IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOME IS EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS, SORE THROAT, DRY COUGH, FEVER, OR SHORTNESS OF BREATH, PLEASE STAY AT HOME.

  • COVER COUGHS AND SNEEZES. – WASH YOUR HANDS OR USE HAND SANITIZER AFTERWARDS.

  • REGULARLY CLEAN AND DISINFECT SURFACES AND OBJECTS THAT PEOPLE FREQUENTLY TOUCH.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THE PASTOR’S STUDY REMAINS OPEN, AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO CONTACT THE OFFICE ON 015 007 0231
