Romans 8:28 is a very common verse we run to in a time of misfortune… and it is good that we do! In fact, we should! Hear Paul’s Words:
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
What a glorious promise, it is such an anchor of hope and comfort, as God performs all things on behalf of His people. This means our current situation is not outside of His powerful hand.
Therefore, I want you to be aware of this truth right now. (1) God Himself has a wise, providential plan for this world, and He is going to bring it to completion. (2) God’s providence is for our good and comfort. (3) His providence is for our
benefit and is a gift for us to use when we are in troubled times [times such as these].
Our trust shouldn’t be in what people say God can do or does… our trust is in the providence of God’s personal grace toward those whom He loves! Therefore, all things work together to those who love God! We have been called to His purpose, and such a time as this may not immediately reveal His purpose, but it calls for us to be aware of, and trust in, His providence to love and care for us.
Psalm 103:19, “The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all.”
